It Begins

This about 6:30 AM, as we are about to get in the car. After a looooooong day of driving we arrived in South Bend at 6:30 PM. We did opt for US route 20 from Toledo to South Bend, so we could have gotten here sooner using I-80. But our goal is to see the country, not just the interstates.

We went through a cool town called Angola, Indiana. We thought we could have been in Franklin, Tennessee. It had a monument within a traffic circle in the center of a town square surrounded by shops. It reminded us of you guys, Bill and Kim.

Had a nice dinner at an Irish public house very similar to Kildare's in West Chester. Afterwards, walked back home thru campus. It was dark and late by then, so the real touring will occur tomorrow morning.

Then it's off to Madison, Wisconsin.

  1. Indiana? Shoot fire! Make sure you pick up some corn pone, corn chips, cream corn, corn fritters, corn dogs and maybe some corn on the cob!
